My balance was 133,000 IHG Rewards Club points, so I booked one Reward Night at the InterContinental Warsaw Hotel – it has amazing views. The night for a standard room for two people, me and my husband, was paid using 33,000 IHG Rewards Club points. Having 100,000 points left, I wanted to spend them in some other way. It had been a long time since I’d been to a spa, so I decided to spend my remaining points on a pleasant spa treatment experience.

My visit in Pearl Beauty Clinic & SPA
We started the day at about 2:00 pm, very quick check-in at the front desk and, since I’m a Spire Elite member, my room was upgraded to Deluxe – so pleasant :). At 3:30 pm my spa treatments were waiting for me at the Pearl Beauty Clinic & Spa, which is located in the same building as the hotel, actually the same skyscraper. My hair needed so much regeneration, for this reason I chose to use the points for the O’right Hair Spa exclusive hair regeneration and I was also granted a consultation about my hair with an experienced hair stylist. Because my hair was so damaged and dry, the best solution for me was a cut, and so it was done. Thanks to this I now look fresher and younger. A total positive change of image for me.
Massage on the 43rd floor
After this I went to have a manicure and later, after a short break, at about 6:00 pm I had the longest and most pleasant treatment – peeling and massage. By the way, I was surprised that this clinic was using natural cosmetics, and for this reason I felt they really took care of me. The peeling and massage took place on the 43rd floor, and it was amazing to see the city from such a high level. It was like having a massage in heaven. The masseur was really experienced in what he was doing and I could feel that he was concentrated and focused in the present moment, because of that, the experience was great and I felt very relaxed afterwards.
The spa experiences lasted until around 8:00 pm, and then the next experience was dining in the restaurant. I really liked that the restaurant was in the same building, so I didn’t have to go out. Platter by Karol Okrasa is an exclusive and luxurious restaurant owned by Karol Okrasa, a well-known Polish cook, who has earned many prizes in his career. I was delighted not only by his food, but also by his behavior towards the customers, he went to the tables to speak with customers to see if they had any requests with regards to the food, and during the breaks he spoke and played with children. That was something really positive and human, especially because it came from such a well-known TV personality.
After supper we spent time in the room, it was so beautiful to sit next to the big window and look at the lights of Warsaw by night.
The next day I woke up so relaxed. Not sure if it was because the room and bed were so comfortable, or because of the effects of the spa treatment, but for sure I can’t remember the last time I slept so well!
Summary about IHG Rewards Club experience
It was cool to use the IHG Rewards Club points on experiences that are not-so-related to hotel stays, like a spa treatment and restaurant in my case. I’ll keep collecting points and repeat the experience, maybe I’ll stay in some other hotel in some different city and have another outstanding experience.
